TemplateFlow respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the extension may access, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. What TemplateFlow Does

TemplateFlow is a Chrome extension that helps users create, manage, and insert reusable email templates inside Gmail.

The extension may also provide optional Pro features such as template syncing and subscription status recovery.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the product, TemplateFlow may collect or process the following information:

A. Template Data

• Email templates you create or edit
• Template titles, categories, and content
• Template usage metadata, such as usage count or update time

Why: To let you save, organize, search, and insert templates.

B. Gmail Context Data

When you use the extension inside Gmail, the extension may read limited page content necessary to support template insertion and variable replacement, such as:

• Email subject
• Recipient name or email address visible in the current compose window
• Compose context needed to insert content into the correct Gmail editor

Why: To insert templates correctly and support variables such as {{name}}, {{email}}, {{subject}}, and {{date}}.

C. Account / Subscription Data

If you use paid features, we may process:

• Your email address
• Subscription tier
• Subscription expiration time
• Order and payment status metadata

Why: To activate Pro access, restore subscription status on a new device, and prevent duplicate activation.

D. Sync Data

If you use cloud sync features, your template data may be transmitted to and stored on the product backend so your Pro templates can be restored or synchronized.

Why: To provide optional cloud-based backup and sync functionality.

E. Technical / Diagnostic Data

We may process limited technical data such as:

• Error logs
• Request status
• Order status
• Sync conflict status

Why: To troubleshoot failures, improve stability, and maintain service functionality.

3. What We Do Not Collect Intentionally

We do not intentionally collect or sell:

• Your Gmail password
• Full mailbox contents unrelated to extension functionality
• Payment card numbers processed directly by us
• Sensitive personal data unrelated to product features

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. We do not directly store your full payment card details.

4. How Your Data Is Used

We use data only to operate and improve TemplateFlow, including:

• Saving and managing your templates
• Inserting templates into Gmail
• Replacing supported template variables
• Enforcing Free / Pro feature limits
• Activating and restoring paid subscriptions
• Syncing templates for Pro users
• Diagnosing errors and abuse
• Maintaining security and service reliability

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Storage

Depending on the feature you use, data may be stored:

• Locally in your browser / Chrome extension storage
• On the application backend for subscription, order, and optional sync features

Current product architecture is lightweight and designed for early-stage operation. We take reasonable steps to protect data, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Sharing

We may share limited data only when necessary with service providers that help operate the product, such as:

• Payment providers
• Hosting / infrastructure providers

We do not share your data for advertising resale purposes.

We may also disclose data if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the security, rights, or property of users or the service.

7. Third-Party Services

TemplateFlow may interact with third-party services including:

• Gmail / Google services
• Chrome Extension APIs
• Payment providers such as Antom

Your use of those services is also subject to their own privacy policies and terms.

8. Permissions and Gmail Access

The extension may require browser permissions and page access necessary to:

• Detect Gmail compose windows
• Insert templates into Gmail editors
• Read limited visible compose context for variables and placement
• Store template and subscription state locally
• Communicate with backend APIs for sync and subscription features

These permissions are used only for product functionality described in this policy.

9. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Provide the product
• Maintain subscriptions and orders
• Support sync features
• Troubleshoot operational issues
• Meet legal obligations where applicable

You may stop using the extension at any time. Local data may remain in browser storage until removed by you or by uninstalling the extension.

10. Your Choices

You can choose to:

• Use only free features
• Avoid optional paid features
• Avoid optional sync features if you do not want cloud storage
• Remove local extension data by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser extension storage

11. Children’s Privacy

TemplateFlow is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to reduce risk, including access controls and validation around backend operations. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date and publish the revised version.
